‘Garden Island’ is what the locals affectionately call Taveuni, the name speaks volumes for itself. We live in a paradise of lush tropical forest and beautiful gardens all around. The Island boasts several beautiful waterfalls that cascade down steep cliff faces into the ocean, an amazing sight.

Not far from Aroha Taveuni we have a ‘natural’ water slide which is a must to visit to watch the local children stand and ‘surf’ down barefooted, it takes your breathe away.

Diving and snorkeling from Taveuni is rated as some of the best in the world. Somosomo Strait is known as the ‘Soft Coral Capital’ of the world. There are several very good dive operators around Taveuni whom we can recommend to take you diving.
